ABOUT

Kathy Sacks 162_small2

Hi.I’m Kathy Sacks. I help companies boost awareness and gain market share. I also work with executives and professionals in helping them personally brand themselves and become thought leaders in their industries.

I’ve been in marketing and publishing for over a decade.

Working with interesting companies and smart people is my drug of choice. It makes work fun and worthwhile, and it’s why I do it. You can see some of the brands I am currently helping grow to the right here.

I’ll be starting a blog… one of these days. (Not sure if the world needs another blog on marketing. So until I come up with the right angle to write from, I won’t be blogging.) In the meantime you can see here what I’m up to via Twitter. Plus check out some of the people and events that I’ve connected with recently, all posted on Flickr.

About Kathy
A former magazine editor, veteran communications pro and proven entrepreneur, Kathy Sacks is recognized as an experienced marketer with a uniquely hard-driving, aggressive approach to helping clients open new markets and boost market share. She consults with technology companies helping them to better crystallize their messages, navigate marketing and build powerful public relations—from company launches or geographical expansion to lead generation programs and brand makeovers. She leverages traditional and social media to spread content in a meaningful way.

Her marketing career spans over 15 years, having served on all sides of the marketing, journalism and PR desk. Before starting her firm, Kathy served as the VP of Marketing and Communications for the Arizona Technology Council, Arizona’s largest technology association. There she helped build the Technology Council brand into an effective powerhouse and launched TechConnect magazine–Arizona’s first and only magazine of science and technology. Prior to that, Kathy served as Co-owner and Editor-in-Chief for bizAZ magazine, one of the leading business magazines in Arizona. Under her leadership, bizAZ grew to become one of the most reputable and talked-about publications in the state, selling it to publishing giant, Gannett Co., Inc. in 2005. She also helped launch bizSanDiego, a print and online business magazine dedicated to uncovering news and people in the San Diego area.

Kathy’s a New Jersey native who’s proudly called Phoenix her home since 1995. Kathy no longer has big, feathered hair or acid-washed jeans, but she still longs for the Jersey Shore from time to time.
